An oval moissanite with smaller stones radiating out from it rather than ringing it — a sunburst, not a halo — on a band that crosses over itself at the shoulders. The angle of the band is what makes it: the stone sits slightly off-axis on the finger, so it catches light from more directions than a straight setting would.

What you're buying
Moissanite is a lab-grown gemstone — harder than sapphire, with more fire than a diamond. It is not a diamond and we don't call it one. The band is 925 sterling silver with a plated finish, which slows tarnish but does not stop it; a soft cloth brings it back. Fixed size or adjustable
The fixed sizes are a closed band and sit the way a ring should. The adjustable version has an open band that can be gently eased wider or squeezed narrower to fit — useful if you're between sizes or buying for someone else. It will not be as secure on an active hand as a fixed size, and it is not meant to be resized repeatedly.

How to measure: wrap a strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of the finger, mark where it meets, then lay it flat against a ruler. That length in millimetres is your circumference — match it to the table. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and measure the finger you actually intend to wear it on.
How to wear it
The crossover band already has movement in it, so it doesn't need company. Wear it alone on the ring or index finger. It pairs with a plain band if you want two, but not with another stone-set ring on the same hand.
Care
- Sterling silver tarnishes with air and moisture. A soft polishing cloth restores it.
- Remove before showering, swimming, and hot tubs.
- Take it off for washing up, gym equipment and anything abrasive — the radiating stones catch on knitwear and hair.
- Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion, and hand cream.
- Store it dry and separate, ideally in a closed pouch — air is what tarnishes it.
